Use images as a practical color reference
A photograph can supply a starting palette for a web section, invitation, slide, packaging concept, or social template. Sampling the actual pixels is more reliable than estimating a color by eye, especially on screens with different brightness settings.
Know which color value to copy
HEX is convenient for CSS and most design tools. RGB is useful for digital interfaces and HSL is helpful when you plan to adjust hue, saturation, or lightness systematically. The same sampled color can be expressed in all three forms without changing its appearance.
Sample more than one point
Photos contain shadows, highlights, texture, and color shifts. Click several nearby points before settling on a value, then build a small palette around it. For text and buttons, check contrast against the planned background so the final design remains easy to read.
